The College in the Hills
West Los Angeles College ("West") is an accredited two-year California Community College established in 1969 by the State of California. It occupies 70 park-like acres overlooking Culver City, Marina Del Rey and Greater West Los Angeles. With an active student population of nearly 10,000 regular and extension students, our 110 full-time faculty, more than 300 hourly faculty and 112 classified staff create an educational environment unique in Southern California.

We are located minutes from Playa Del Rey beach, major shopping malls and movie and production studios including Sony Pictures. By being close to several major freeways, it is an easy commute from here to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, UCLA, USC, the LAX airport, Downtown Los Angeles, and many other notable attractions.
An Online Program With a Real Campus and Real Relationships With Universities
And, West is part of the greater California public higher education system which includes the UC campuses (UCLA, UC Berkley, UC Irvine…) and the 23 California State Universities. This relationship makes it easier for our students to transfer their course credits to these and other distinguished universities.

EARN AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE AT WEST >> "TRANSFER" TO ANY UNIVERSITY. West offers international students an intimate and affordable place to pursue a 2 year Associate Degree both online and on campus.
Our lower tuition makes West an affordable gateway to prominent universities including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, California State University of Northridge, California State University of Los Angeles, USC, Stanford, and many other California and U.S. universities. By completing general education requirements through West, a student can then transfer to a university as a “Junior” (3rd Year University Student) and complete a Bachelor's Degree or higher. In addition to the cost savings, classes are typically smaller at West than at 4-year universities. This allows student to receive more attention from their instructors in the critical first two years.
START AT WEST >> EARN YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE AT REGIS UNIVERSITY - ALL ONLINE! In partnership with prestigious Regis University, West offers international students the option to complete the first two years of their Bachelor's degree through the West online program, then advance to Regis University's online program to complete the last two years.
